Bead-Stringing For Charming Jewelry Making

Bead-stringing with
Stainless steel wire - Nylon covered wire, size from (.012 to.024 inch-diameter ) is used for any type of beads and must be finished with crimp beads on each part of your jewelry. Crimp beads are only used for nylon covered wire(softflex or tigertail, accuflex...).
- For tiny gemstones , you can use .012 inch diameter, for bigger and heavier beads, you can use.019 or .024 inch diameter for example.
- No needle is needed.
- Tools: a flat nose plier, a bead crimping plier, a flush cutter.

Nylon thread
- Nylon is used for any type of beads and must be finished with a bead tip or french wire.
- Comes in many colors and sizes (#00,0, A,B, C, D, E, F, FF, FFF), 00 being the smallest size. Very convenient because does not stretch, less expensive than silk.
- Finishes: bead-tip, french wire, knot and glue.

silk (precarted or not) We love pre-carted silk because a needle is already added to the thread. For silk sold by the spool, beads are strung with a twisted beading needle.
- Sizes (#00,0, A,B, C, D, E, F, FF, FFF), 00 being the smallest size.
- Finishes: bead tip, french wire and knot and glue.
- Tools: thread clipper, glue.

Stringing seed beads with a bead-spinner is easy and it goes so fast! Beads are strung onto nylon, silk, powerpro... or any other thread with a twisted needle.Create a hook shape at the end of the twisted beading needle by bending it a little bit around the metal center of the bead spinner.

- No needle is needed.

Elastic
Different sizes No needle is needed. Finishes: knot and glue. Tools: thread clipper, glue.
Bead- stringing with
Serpentine - different finishes (copper,antique gold, plated gold or silver).
- Finishes: flat cord tip.
- Cotton, leather cord, cotton waxed, polyester.
- No needle is needed.
- Finishes: cord -tips ( and glue), cord-caps, cord-coils with loop, flat cord tip.
- Tools: pliers, a flush cutter.

If you are using serpentine, finish your piece with a cord tip.
Beading
- Nymo is THE thread used for beading. It comes in a huge choice of colors and sizes go from 00 (the smallest to D). Beaders usually work with size B or D with beading needle #12 and 13 for seed beads 15° and 11°.
- Is used for off-loom stiches.
- Beading needles's sizes: #10 to #16 ( the smallest).
You may want to wax the thread. - Tools: thread clipper, glue.
Bead- stringing with Particular beads (like felted beads) .
- Beads are strung onto a thread with a tapestry needle.
- Tools: thread clipper, glue.
