We love to use simple beading-techniques and eventually mix them with other jewelry making techniques such as wire making, stringing
It is a cool and easy way to make jewelry with a unique style!
You can make eye-catching drops, pendants, charms… and of course rings!
A list of beading supplies can be found in our free E-Book.
This e-book gives a list of our favorite supplies for basic jewelry making.
As we use often mix basic techniques with beading techniques, we have added a list of threads and needles we like to use.
Be aware that not everything will be available in your craft store. I was surprised to see that I could not find some thread's brands in some countries. For example I live in Hong Kong right now and it is impossible to find Nymo thread, often used by beaders in USA. From what I understood, here they use a very thin transparent cord, thinner than monofilament thread. I still prefer to order Nymo because of their colors and also because I am used to this particular thread.
Same thing for "ultra suede": This fabric is used for bead embroidery, very easy to use ( you can cut and it doesn't fray, you can outline with a pencil) and I had an hard time to find it when I was living in France. Again, I had to order it!
Anyway most important are seed beads and that can be found on Internet or in your local craft store!
Here are some of our favorites techniques.
We are happy to share with you these tips/secrets because really they are easy to master and you can IMPRESS everyone around you!
