Big Beads
Big beads: their size is equal or larger than 20mm for rounds or 25x18 for ovals. Because of their large size, they are often used to make pendants. The most common commercially available are plastic, resin, natural (tagua nuts), hand-carved or hand-cut gemstones and are often sold by the strand. Handmade pieces (clay, precious metal clay, glass blown, lamp-work...) are often sold separably or in small quantities and are often more expensive.
If you want to design or to wear an uncommon, original, amazing jewelry, designing with these "little jewels" can be a good idea. You will find here a set of pictures shown as examples. Also keep in mind that you can make your own "jewel" using the right angle weave technique or with clay.
Enjoy!
