Bone Beads
For A Long Necklace Design Idea

Bone beads are made from cow or buffalo. Usually their color vary from off-white to light brown. If you wish to design with natural, earthy colors think of them... Also, note that they can be carved or dyed ( tea dyed gives an" antique" finish). This necklace is made with hair pipes (long and narrow bone beads, popular in Native American designs), lampwork, glass, resin beads and a gemstone feather. Native American designs, cow boy style are trendy, that's why we wanted here at C.J.M. to design with different tints of beige, brown and blue. We wanted to give also an illusion of long fringe finished with a "camel" handmade flower bead and a carnelian feather. You can wear it as a long necklace or wrap it twice around your neck. The drop is attached to the necklace at the clasp (see the picture). This has been done on purpose for you to be able to wrap it twice around your neck easily! So, if you like it, let's see how to make this "bone beads necklace"
