This term comes from the french "coller" : to glue. A flat part is glued on a non- porous surface ; you can use this technique when you want to embellish easily and quickly a bead, a pendant or something else.
There are different types of glues on the market, be sure to use a strong one. E-6000 is a good one. Apply a thin coat on the surface and let it dry slowly (drying time varies from 24 to 72 hours).
Epoxy is an other good brand, you need to mix two parts together and the drying time varies from 5 to 20 minutes.
If you are using a plastic button, you need to cut the shank button first with a cutter and file it softly.

You can embellish a resin bead with a plastic donut and a button for example. First glue the little donut bead on the resin bead. Let it dry. Cut and file the shank button and when the donut is dried, glue the plastic bead on it.
