Glass pearls are made with a glass based bead with mother of pearl (shell) layers on the top.

If you are looking to high quality beads, look at swarovski crystal "faux pearl ": they are made with a crystal based bead and finished with layers of pearlescence. Of course, they are a little bit more expensive but Soooooo beautiful!

Supplies

• Glass beads (14 mm) in dark grey and white (8 or 10 mm)
• A little mother of pearl bird charm
• 2 shell beads
• 2 seed beads( 6°)
• Antiqued brass filigree bead caps
• Stringing material (accu-flex, softflex...) .19" size
• Black flat cord
• Crimp beads
• Pliers

How To

• Measure your wrist, add 6 cm and cut a piece of beading wire (Softflex, Accu-lex...).
• String a crimp bead, a 6°, a bead cap, a 14 mm bead and follow : "how to stringing and finishing with stainless steel coated wire" and make "a loop".
• Follow the pattern. As you can see in the picture, it is simple: a bead cap, a bead, a bead cap and so on.
• Slide a flat cord inside the 2 loops.
• The black cord is ended with a cord tip and two bead dangles.
• Add a little bird charm using the simple loop wire technique .
