Handmade-Bead-Necklace
With The Wire Jewelry Technique

This "handmade-bead-necklace" article illustrates how to make a type of necklace using the wire making technique.

This technique is one of our favorites!
As we say often, Charming-Jewelry-Making loves to make jewelry using simple technique and if possible with an impressive effect!
As easy as 1-2-3 with a fun and creative spirit!

The wire technique using eye or head pins is explained here.
You can also watch this video to see how to make a proper loop.

The technique is not difficult at all but requires a bit of practice.

Here are some examples displayed here and there in this web site.

  • This long necklace is made with lampworked and resin beads using only the wire technique.
This is a symmetrical and repetitive pattern with different types of" bead blocks".
Be careful if you make this type of jewelry because it is heavy so the loops must be perfectly closed!
  • This short necklace made with bead dangles set on a nice quality craft chain. Note the repetitive pattern with pink beads and tiny turquoise seed stones.
  • Here, we have a mix of ribbons, a light craft chain and bead blocks, all linked together with the eye loop technique.
This is a symmetrical and repetitive pattern using light materials (transparent ribbon, plastic beads and light chain).
A butterfly pendant with a touch of blue finishes this necklace.
  • The last pattern is explained here.

Contrast is the main concept used here:

Contrast between the soft gemstone colors and the icy aspect of the glass.
Contrast also between big and small beads all linked with an heavy craft chain.
Again the loops must be secure because this is an heavy and long necklace.
Note here the different tones of the multicolor moonstone which bring some fantasy to this cold and strict necklace.

Let's see now how to make this necklace
