Spiraled wire are glued on the back of button flowers. The spiral is put in between a flat button or pendant and a button-flower for a better stability.
Let's see first how to make the simple or eye loop technique.

The Eye Loop Technique

All you need is a flat nose plier, a chain nose plier and a cutter.

This techniques uses eye and head pins to make loops.

How to

String a bead on a head or eye pin,

Hold firmly your bead in one hand ( left for right handed ) and with the thumb of your other hand,bend the wire against the bead; cut it; leave 10 mm ( 10mm is given as an example),

From the end of the round nose plier's jaws, measure 10 mm and mark a line with a permanent marker,

Place the wire ( bent and cut ) where you have marked the line in the plier,

Place your hand properly by twisting your right wrist from left to right,

Grasp the round nose plier and twist from right to left : you are making a loop !

Finished eye loop; the loop must be perfectly round.

How To Make A Spiral

You need soft craft wire (gauge20 0r 22) in the color you like.

Take your round nose plier and make a very small loop,

then, hold the small loop firmly with the flat nose plier and start making a spiral. Use your fingers to shape it nicely.

Scroll until it covers and hide the beading wire.

The spiral is finished.
