Pink Pendant Making With Gemstone Beads

Making a rose quartz jewelry is a perfect gift idea (mother's day, birthday, baby shower ...)
It can also just be a trendy (pink is very "à la mode"this summer ) jewelry for yourself...
Rose quartz is a nice gemstone: It comes in different shapes and it has beautiful meanings: It symbolizes love, friendship, tenderness...
but this stone has a very soft pink color so it needs to be embellished with stronger colors for a nice contrast ( copper or brass findings for example).
I like this match but you may prefer to use other finishes (silver,gold,gold plated...) or mix it with other beads. your choice.

• A big flat rose quartz bead
• Round beads ( one metal and one pink stone)
• Little (2 mm) pink and yellow glass beads and
• Seed beads (optional)

How-To

• Pick up an eye pin and string on a bead cap, a faceted rose quartz bead(6 mm), a bead cap and make an eye loop.
• Pick up an eye pin and string on a copper or brass bead and make an eye loop.
• Pick up an eye pin and string on a bead cap, a big flat rose quartz bead, a bead cap and make an eye loop.
• Embellish the chain tassel or not with the fringe technique (as seen on the picture).
• Attach all the parts together(as seen in the picture).
• Attach the pendant to a neckwire.

Quick tips

If you have enough time, chose to embellish the tassel using the fringe technique, you can pick up beautiful seed beads, little czech beads in bright colors.
As I said before, rose quartz is a pale color, it can be nice to add some sparkling in this jewelry.
Keep the same finishes (copper,brass,silver...) for all your findings.

Your tools need to be always close by during your jewelry making project: a round nose plier,a flat nose plier, glue, scissors, cutter.
Have a good working, light and a comfortable chair.
